Another one in the books

So that wraps it up. Another season is in the books for the Pleasantview Softball League and the final standings have been updated to reflect the last week of play. Playoffs start this week, so pay attention to the schedule and where your team stands because things are pretty close in the standings and in fact two teams tied in points. Here is how it all works out.

In first place, we had a tie between Goose and Firkin and Willy Stout's Black. They have the same amount of points, wins and ties so in this situation the winner is the team that won the season series between both teams. They split the season series with a win and a tie each so this goes to run differential in that series. Goose and Firkin edged out Willy Stout's Black in terms of runs scores so they finish first and Willy Stout's Black comes in a close second.
There is also a tie in points and wins for 5th and 6th place between Willy Stout's White and MCM Towing. Because MCM won the season series between the two teams they take 5th place and Willy Stout's White finishes 6th.

All this wasn't really finalized until the final week of play, so check out the playoff schedule on the right hand column of the blog page and see where you stand.

Great season everyone. Playoffs start on Tuesday, so get ready.
