Pride is on the line this Tuesday

As the league continues to be plagued by rain outs (which I will address in a later post) the parity that seemed so evident in the first weeks of play has faded and two teams remain unbeaten at the top of the standings.

Although there has been a pretty large discerpancy in terms of how many games each team has played due to rain outs, it appears the Willy Stouts Black and Goose and Firkin are pretty serious contenders this year. Both are currently undefeated but the late game this Tuesday, June 26 pits the two against each other to determine who will remain undefeated in division 1. The overall standings will not change regardless of the outcome but pride is on the line in this ball game. That being said, if Goose and Firkin lose on Thursday, the door is left wide open for the slow-to-start Cougars to challenge Willy Stouts Black the following night and potentially move into a tie for second place with Goose and Firkin.

There is a lot happening in the league and there is a lot happening on this blog as well. Changes have been made to upgrade our current standings page, which now operates as a Google Spreadsheet and is organized by overall rank as well as divisional rank.
